* Nikol Lohr's d i c k l i s t is just that - a list of dicks
and how they got that way...good stuff! A must read for all you girlies in
distress...from Ms. Lohr's fabulous d i s g r u n t l e d h o u s e w i f e site!

* D a n n i A s h e is one of my personal web heros. Not only is she
beautiful and brilliant, but she is a web innovator of the first degree.
Her site, D a n n i ' s H a r d D r i v e started off as her little fan club on the web,
and now makes more money in a year than most of us will see in a lifetime.
Who says pretty girls can't be mega-entrepreneurs?

* Another great haven: g i r l b i k e
My web mentor Crystal Waters' site about biking! I think after being
in front of the computer for all those years Crystal needed to
get some fresh air. This is a great resource for biking enthusiasts
and Crystal Waters fans alike!.

* The wacky a m e r i c a n s c i e n c e & s u r p l u s site
is one of the best places to get all of those things you never knew you couldn't
live without such as dehydrated owls and pee specimen bottles that say "danger!"...
they have test-tubes and other science stuff too...also a kick-ass regular catalog...
I always skip from my mailbox with joy when it's in my stack!

* Don't know how i managed before i found this page
....it's the f i n d y o u r h a w a i i a n n a m e site. Really!
(and don't tell me you haven't wondered...)

p e o p l e i l o v e

* A very spiffy (and talking!) site by one of my very favorite cute boys...
the hollywood records k y l e v i n c e n t page.
And while you're at it, go buy Kyle's album so he can take me out
on a nice date...

* Watch a girl in her home live 24/7?
a m a n d a c a m is one of the original webcam sites. Hop on in and join the party!

* And what list would be complete without a mention of that unmentionable
master of all alphabeticians...the #8 sexiest person on the web,
Chank Diesel! though he ditched me at the alter for another girl
just cause she knew more about classical music, i still love him...
and he has a hell of a nice website too...so go visit
t h e c h a n k s t o r e for all your perverse font needs...

* One of the most beautifully designed sites on the web:
Derek Powazek's f r a y. and if you don't like it,
don't complain to me, go bitch and moan on k v e t c h.

* I can't quite figure out what this site is about, but it's completely
extraordinary anyway, not to mention that it belongs to one of my favorite
people, my invisible friend c h e s t e r w i l l i a m s c h e n d e l.
I mean first off, how could you not love someone with the name chester?...
he's also a great designer and a general of the green army men...and here at lawgirl he
has won the coveted web hunk of the month!

f u n f a c t s

* First off, the most useful of sites for all
creative types just might be that put out by those wacky
purveyors of fine copyrights, the
u n i t e d s t a t e s c o p y r i g h t o f f i c e.
Go there for forms, instruction sheets and even to
research copyrights online! More fun than a barrel of monkeys!

* A great source for screenwriters...the w r i t e r s g u i l d
site provides a lot of helpful information, including
information about how to register a script with the WGA.
So stop asking me! (just kidding)...

* Songwriters searching for information on music publishing
and licensing should check out the comprehensive resources
offered by a s c a p and b m i.

* Looking for money to fund your project? Try this list of links to
c o r p o r a t e g r a n t m a k e r s... good luck and happy hunting!

* Need to see if your catchy name has been snatched up?

* Shop that script! No, lawgirl stil doesn't take unsolicited submissions,
but check out s t o r y b a y - a lawgirl client who will review and

* A handy link to have at 11:59 on April, 15:
the i n t e r n a l r e v e n u e s e r v i c e site has
downloadable forms, instructions and helpful hints.

l i n k s f o r l a w h e a d s

* Another great free government resource: the u n i t e d s t a t e s p a t e n t a n d t r a d e m a r k o f f i c e.
Perform searches and download trademark registration forms and instructions. Free!

* Wanna know what those nine ladies and gents
in black are up to? I for one do....go to s u p r e m e c o u r t
d e c i s i o n s
so you won't be left out in the dark...
(or in the dust as the case may be)...

* Where it all begins: a subject near and dear to my heart
(being the freedom fighter and bigmouth that I am) the
b l u e r i b b o n c a m p a i g n f o r f r e e s p e e c h o n l i n e.
Thanks to all of your support we've won the battle!
An excellent resource page for information about the campaign to protect YOUR right
to utter those s e v e n d i r t y w o r d s.

* The a m e r i c a n b a r a s s o c i a t i o n j u m p l i n k
is a good place to start your legal research on any number of topics.
Features links to all government branches.

* Confused about the conflicting policies of trademark protection
and domain name registration in Zanzibar? Check out the
c o m p a r a t i v e d o m a i n n a m e r e g i s t r a t i o n p o l i c i e s
site. You'll probably find the help that you need.

g o o d f o r t u n e t h r o u g h b a d d e s i g n :
g r e a t d e s i g n r e s o u r c e s

* In my humble opinion, one of the most lovely and
best designed sites on the web can be found at
t y p o . c o m (just how much I like it will be obvious once you visit)...
This site, by Crystal Waters, is a fine example of just how much can be done with type
and without any flying gizmos, bells or whistles. Lots of design tips and
helpful links too, including links to great resource pages such as
Lynda Weinman's h o m e g u r r l p a g e.

* A good jumping off point to find sources for fonts
online is the i n t e r n e t t y p e f o u n d r y,
a comprehensive index of type sites. Another site with type
that I like is e m e r a l d c i t y f o n t w e r k s , which has some
very nice free and shareware fonts. And lest I forget
that notorious haven for font freaks, the
c h a n k s t o r e (see above.) Though I think at this point
I may have given Chank far too much credit on my site already...
Also, you might want to check out the great font sites by
the young designers on s w a n k y, the web's
veritable hotbed of swank hosted by the adorable Dustin...

* Another of my favorite sites is d i n c t y p e,
A fabulous font site run by a very, very cool chick.
Even if you aren't in the market for fonts this site is so well designed and so much fun
that it's worth a visit. Plus there are lots of freebies!
Tell Diane that lawgirl sent you!

* A nice clip art site is h a v a n a s t r e e t 1 9 4 0 ' s r e t r o
c l i p a r t
. Great vintage clip art, with some free downloads too.
Note: when I checked this site the link was down recently, but I believe
this is still a valid address. Let me know what you find.
* Finally, I hate to admit it cause I think its author is a pompous
buffoon whose own site is not all that great, but the
k i l l e r s i t e s page does have some
extremely helpful tips...though what kind of stupid name
is "killer sites?" I rest my case.
